A data center has a huge commitment to its customers to ensure the data it stores is secure. Data center providers need to be adept at demonstrating just how secure their data is, as customers need to be confident that their data will never be compromised.

Physical security is our priority for when designing data center security, we include the following minimum layers of physical security:

  1. Perimeter security
  2. Mantraps into the data center
  3. Access systems into rooms
  4. Secure locked cabinets
  5. Biometrics (where required)

No one should enter or leave the premises without proof of identity and all visitors should be checked against defined access lists.

It’s critical to have control over who can enter your data center and this may be in the form of access cards or biometrics:

  • Our biometric system scans the fingerprint or iris of the person trying to enter the data Any unauthorized access attempts result in the individual being unable to pass through the data center’s mantrap.
  • Our mantrap has two sets of interlocking doors, and biometric identification is required at both If the biometric system, activates the security alarm then all doors will lock restricting the individual from accessing the site.

Typical data center security systems we offer include:

  1. Perimeter Fencing
  2. Perimeter Intrusion Detection
  3. Security gates, barriers & turnstiles
  4. Access Control (biometric/proximity card)
  5. Airlocks and mantraps
  6. CCTV
  7. Audio/Video Intercom
  8. Intruder alarm
  9. Security Management System
